Two men have been charged after being caught outside a Tamaqua bar.

Tamaqua police were informed that Charles William Nase, 22, of Summit Hill had a warrant out for his arrest on May 25.

They found out that Nase was getting into a white Cadillac directly in front of the Hang Loose Bar and Grill in Tamaqua.

As three police vehicles pulled up, two people ran out of the Cadillac and into the bar. Police waited on the other side of the bar, anticipating the fleeing men would run through.

When they came out, Nase fell to the ground and was apprehended by police. The second man, later identified as Shane Nicholas Houser, 21, of Nesquehoning, turned onto Broad Street.

Police followed him and ordered him to turn around and place his hands behind his back, which he refused, and was yelling obscenities at police, while swinging a hand toward the officer. Houser continued to resist, but was also eventually apprehended.

While back at the station, Houser attempted to flood the cellblock where he was temporarily placed. Nase and Houser were eventually transported to prison for arraignment.

Nase was charged with resisting arrest, public drunkenness and criminal mischief. Houser was charged with resisting arrest, hindering apprehension, criminal mischief, public drunkenness, institutional vandalism and disorderly conduct.
