The Carbon County Economic Development Corporation has announced Top Circle Hosiery Mills of New York will relocate to Carbon County.

The company will move into the former Scotch Maid building in Weissport.

It is estimated Top Circle, which manufactures men’s casual and dress socks, will hire 20 full-time employees during its first year, and that 10 more will be brought on in the following two years, according to Antoinette Artuso, the county’s economic development director.

The corporation applied for and received a $160,000 low-interest Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority loan on behalf of the company, she said.
