Class outing

Members of the 1964 graduating class of Jim Thorpe High School will hold their May outing on Tuesday at Heisler’s Dairy Bar, Tamaqua. The members will enjoy lunch and an afternoon of mini-golf.

Plans are being made for a bus trip to Knoebels Amusement Park for June 19. Contact Ellie Evans with your bus deposit or she will accept it at the Tuesday gathering. The trip will leave Memorial Park at 9 a.m. and the park at 6 p.m.

Bible School

St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, is planning a summer Vacation Bible School. It will be held June 14-28, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

It is open to children preschool through sixth grades.
