Five first-time offenders were placed in Carbon County’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on Monday by Judge Joseph J. Matika.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program, their record is wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.

Stephanie R. Farley

, 31, of Jim Thorpe, was placed for two years on a charge of criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. She was arrested on Jan. 5, 2018, by Jim Thorpe police along Route 209 in Nesquehoning as part of an ongoing drug investigation by the county drug task force and the Attorney General’s office.

She was assessed $650 for the cost of the program and ordered to render 100 hours of community service.

Gretchen Angela Funk

, 49, of Tamaqua, was placed on a charge of access device fraud. She was arrested by state police at Lehighton for an incident on Sept. 25, 2018, involving a Franklin Township resident as the victim and the illegal use of a credit card.

She was assessed $450 and ordered to make restitution of $435 to the victim, render 50 hours of community service and have no contact with the victim.

Damian Michael Kibler

, 20, of Palmerton, was placed on a forgery charge. He was arrested by state police at Lehighton for an incident on March 17 at the Blue Mountain Ski Area in Towamensing Township. He attempted to pass a phony $100 bill.

He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.

Gina A. Kidney

, 28, of Palmerton, was placed for six months on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana. She was arrested on Feb. 7 by state police at Lehighton along Route 248 at Bowmanstown following a traffic stop.

She was assessed $450 and ordered to render 25 hours of community service.

Henry Jonathan Ramos

, 23, of Stroudsburg, was placed for six months on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested on Feb. 10 by state police at Lehighton following a traffic stop along Route 248 in Palmerton.

He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 25 hours of community service.

Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.
