Withdrawal from the Lehigh County Community College Program was authorized during a regular meeting of the Panther Valley School Board last evening on a 6-3 vote.

Voting to withdraw were John Terray, Anthony Vasiliou, William Knepper, John Morana, John Mongi and Robert Stianche. Voting to stay affiliated with the program were William Whildin, Paul Sheers and Joseph Fiorentino.

Members voting for the withdrawal said they based their decision on the fact that costs have gone up each year and it has become a burden to the district to meet obligations to the college.
