Primitive Methodist

There will be a guest missionary from El Salvador at the 10:45 a.m. service. No Sunday school as there will be a Mother’s Day breakfast from 9 to 10 a.m.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met May 2 with 49 members in attendance. President Melody Weicker opened the meeting with the reading “Just Give Me Love.”

Joan Breslin will be a guest speaker at the next meeting with information about STS buses and will be distributing membership cards.

There will be a memorial service on May 23 to honor deceased members.

The group is open to anyone 55 or older, meeting at 1 p.m. every Thursday at the YMCA. The next meeting will be held on May 9.

Bloodmobile

An American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be held from 1-6 p.m. May 15 at St. Johns UCC social hall.

Anyone 17 or older who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in general good health is eligible to donate blood.

Bethany EC

The Rev. Kevin Roberts will officiate at the 8 and 10:30 a.m. worship services this Sunday in Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church. Sunday school classes meet at 9:15 a.m.
