Tamaqua National Day of Prayer

A community breakfast and prayer time is planned in Tamaqua to mark the National Day of Prayer on Thursday. The event begins at 9 a.m. with breakfast served in Founder’s Hall at Trinity United Church of Christ, 22 Lafayette Street, Tamaqua.

Following the meal, participants will move outside to the parking lot overlooking Tamaqua to offer prayers for various areas of American society and culture. Chairs will be available if needed. The prayer portion will be led by members of the Tamaqua Ministerial Association.

All are welcome. A freewill offering of $5 is suggested and will be taken to defray the cost of the breakfast. Excess offerings will be donated to the Tamaqua Hunger Walk that weekend.

Those planning to attend who have not registered with their pastors can contact the Trinity office at 570-668-4139 by Wednesday.
