A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Thursday afternoon in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred at 3:45 p.m. along Oak Grove Road in Pine Grove Township.

Troopers said Travis J. Felty, 46, no address given, was operating a motorcycle eastbound when he lost control of his bike. The bike traveled through the westbound lane into a grassy area. The bike continued through the grass and over a driveway at 84 Oak Grove Road, before striking a tree. Felty, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene by deputy coroner Albert Barnes.
