Tamaqua police have charged a man after he used his cane to smash a neighbor’s window twice.

Thomas Robert Jones, 61, of Tamaqua, was charged with criminal mischief after he used his cane to smash a neighbor’s window on March 26. Jones told police he wanted to get the attention of the neighbor’s son and was given permission to smash the window by the landlord. The landlord denied giving such permission.

The next day, March 27, Jones again used his cane to smash a neighbor’s window. This time he told police he did it after having an argument with the same neighbor. He received another citation for criminal mischief.
