James Hunsicker, 38, of Albrightsville, was cited by state police at the Lehighton barracks after a one-vehicle crash at 4:53 p.m. Feb. 19 on Route 209 (Interchange Road) in Polk Township. He was uninjured.

Police said Hunsicker was driving a 1998 International Harvester tractor trailer northbound when he attempted to make a right turn into a driveway at 566 Interchange Road and the rig’s rear tires struck a guide wire attached to a utility pole, causing the pole to move and the wires to fall toward the road.

Police said employees of Blue Ridge Communications and PPL Utilities were summoned to the scene, as were volunteers from the Polk Township Volunteer Fire Department.
