State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 2:26 p.m. Friday along Route 183 in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Brandon M. Casey, 28, of Ashley, Luzerne County, was driving a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta northbound in the left lane when he drove over the edge of a drainage ditch. The wheel of the Jetta pulled hard to the right, causing Casey to lose control. The Jetta crossed over the right lane and went onto the east shoulder, where it struck an embankment. The Jetta then flipped onto its roof and skidded across both northbound lanes and came to rest on its roof facing south against the raised center median.

Casey, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured. Troopers said he was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
