The Weatherly boys and Marian girls basketball teams both picked up wins on Saturday.

Also posting a victory was the Pleasant Valley wrestling team.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Pen Argyl-Weatherly

Weatherly snapped a five-game losing streak with a 61-51 non-league victory over Pen Argyl.

Scotty Zoscin led a quartet of Wreckers in double figures with a game-high 25 points. Antonio Colecio, Mason Gerhart and Trevor Lowman each contributed 11.

Jordan DeFelice led the Green Knights with 23 points.

Weatherly improved to 7-10 overall.

North Schuylkill knocked off Panther Valley 44-35 in the semifinals of the Bedford Memorial Tournament.

The Panthers’ Ben Kindt finished with 17 points.

Minersville-Panther Valley

Panther Valley gained a 66-43 win over Minersville in the consolation game of the Bedford Memorial Tournament.

Brad Hood led the Panthers with 21 points, while Stephen Hood followed with 18.
