The Carbon County Salary Board recently set salaries for county employees covered under collective bargaining units during its annual meeting on Monday.

The rates are effective from Jan. 1.

AFSCME Union Positions and Rates

• Commissioners’ Office: One mail/postage coordinator at $17.98 per hour

• Tax Assessment Office: One assessor at $21.17 per hour; and one clerk at $17 per hour

• Tax Claim Office: One clerk at $18.52 per hour

• Geographic Information Systems: One G.I.S. technician at $20.14 per hour

• Maintenance: One lead carpenter at prevailing rate; three maintenance II at $19.63 per hour; one maintenance II at prevailing rate; and three cleaning people at $16.94 per hour

• Archives: One clerical aide at $14.09 per hour and one parking meter attendant/archives assistant at prevailing rate

• Cooperative Extension: One clerk-stenographer-receptionist at $18.52 per hour

• Corrections: Two LPNs at $23.94 per hour

• Communications Center: Four senior dispatchers at $20.80 per hour; two 911 operators at $19.34 per hour; one 911 operator at $18.78 per hour; two 911 operators at $17.59 per hour; two 911 operators at $16.97 per hour; and one 911 center/EMA aide (also EMA office) at $15.94 per hour

• Area Agency on Aging: One clerical aide at $14.09 per hour

• Parks: One maintenance II/lead worker at $20.63 per hour; one maintenance II at $19.63 per hour; and one parks aide at $16.47 per hour

Teamsters Positions and Rates Corrections

• Ten corrections officers at $20.94 per hour

• Three corrections officers at $19.92 per hour

• Eleven corrections officers at $18.88 per hour

• Seven corrections officers at $17.90 per hour

• Twelve corrections officers at $16.89 per hour

• Four part-time corrections officers* at $16.89 per hour

*Excluded from retirement plan not anticipated to work 1,000 hours
