Carbon County court

The following defendants recently entered guilty pleas before Judge Roger N. Nanovic in Carbon County Common Pleas Court.

Elizabeth Brooke Arace

, 21, of Kunkletown, pleaded guilty to one count of driving under the influence for an incident on Sept. 3, 2017, in Towamensing Township. Charges were filed by state police at Lehighton. Sentencing was deferred pending a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Charles Bryant

, 49, of Allentown, pleaded guilty to criminal mischief and trespassing for an incident on Aug. 9 at Sacred Heart Church in Palmerton. Bryant admitted to stealing $180 from offering boxes and causing about $3,200 of damage in the process. The judge sentenced him to nine months to three years imprisonment, to be served concurrently with another sentence in Lehigh County. He was also ordered to pay restitution to the church.

Michael R. Coulson

, 53, of Nesquehoning, pleaded guilty to harassment for repeatedly calling 911 in nonemergency situations. Coulson was sentenced to one year imprisonment, to be served concurrently with another one-year sentence for simple assault for a separate incident.

Amanda M. Grimm

, 30, of Kunkletown, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence for an incident on March 6 in Lehighton. Sentencing was deferred pending a comprehensive evaluation.

Ryan Zelina

, 31, of Northampton, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly throwing rocks at cars on Route 248 near Palmerton Borough. He was sentenced to serve six to 18 months in prison, with credit for 75 days time served.

Jon Scott Snyder

, 19, of Palmerton, pleaded guilty to one count of driving under the influence of marijuana. His sentencing was deferred pending a drug and alcohol evaluation.
