The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Jan. 7-11 is:

Monday: Vegetable soup, tuna casserole, roll, grapes or beef fajita salad

Tuesday: Pork and peppers, rice, broccoli/carrots, pudding or egg salad sandwich

Wednesday: Stuffed shells, zucchini, garlic bread, fruit salad or chicken ranch salad

Thursday: Beef goulash, noodles, green beans, pears or turkey hoagie

Friday: Chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetable blend, biscuit, cookie or tuna wrap

The center also announced upcoming events for Jan. 7-18.

Trivia & Paint with Geisinger Health on Jan. 7 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Jan. 8 at 11 a.m.; Yahtzee on Jan. 9 at 11 a.m.; Karaoke on Jan. 10 at 11 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on Jan. 11 followed by Poker-Keeno at 11 a.m.

Birthday & Bingo on Jan. 14 at 11 a.m.; Healthy Steps Fall Prevention Workshop on Jan. 15 at 9:30 a.m.; Penny Game on Jan. 16 at 11 a.m.; Minute To Win It on Jan. 17 at 10:30 a.m.; Movie & Pizza on Jan. 18 at 10 a.m.

Historical society

The Nesquehoning Historical Society has postponed the monthly First Saturday Work Day that was originally scheduled for Saturday to Jan. 12.

All members are invited to attend and to help with general maintenance activities from 9 a.m. to noon.

Light refreshments will also be served.
