Carbon County Coroner Robert Miller Jr. confirmed the identity Wednesday of a New Jersey teen who died Tuesday at Blue Mountain Resort in Lower Towamensing Township.

The victim was identified as Connor Golembiewski, 17, of Flemington, N.J.

According to Miller, the teen fell from a ski lift leading to multiple blunt force injuries. He ruled the death an accident.

Tricia Matsko, director of sales & marketing at Blue Mountain Resort, said the incident occurred at 11:30 a.m. and is under investigation.

“Our hearts go out to his family; this is a terrible way to start the new year,” Matsko said in a statement.

Golembiewski was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital Palmerton campus, where he was pronounced dead.
