State police at Frackville are investigating a hit-and-run that took place at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 18 on Interstate 81 northbound in Mahanoy Township.

Police said Robert E. Long, 55, of Pottsville, was driving a 2016 Ford F-150 pickup in the passing lane of the interstate when a vehicle in the driving lane veered into the passing lane and struck the truck.

The driver left the scene without exchanging information with Long, police said.

Police said Long sustained minor injuries.
