During the Schuylkill County Commissioners’ workshop meeting Wednesday, Treasurer Linda Marchalk presented her report for November.

The total monies in all accounts was $51,464,950. The ending balance for the general fund was $20,668,906. The balance in other county funds was $22,072,892. The balance for the county agencies’ fund was $8,681,581. The balance in the worker compensation fund was $450,999.

Acting on a request from Human Resources Director Deborah Twigg, the commissioners approved the renewal of Benistar as the administrator of the county retirees’ prescription drug plan. The monthly premium per person for Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2019 will be $243.98 per person.
