Christmas Eve services

Lansford

Trinity Lutheran Church: On Monday eveningthe Christmas Eve Candlelight Service of Holy Communion will be held at 8 p.m. The Rev. Roy H. Koehler will preside at this service. All are welcome to attend.

Lehighton

All Saints Episcopal Church, North Second and Coal streets, Lehighton, 6 p.m. Christmas Eve, with the vigil of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Eucharist with special Christmas music and the singing of “Silent Night” by candlelight.

• Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, 222 North St., Christmas Eve candlelight service: 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24. Community is welcome.

• Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., Christmas Eve candlelighting service at 7 p.m.

• Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Christmas Eve worship with Holy Communion: 6 p.m. family worship with music by the Trinity Praise Band, 9 p.m. traditional worship with candlelight.

Palmerton

• ­Blue Mountain Community Church is holding “His Story — Your Heart” at Penn’s Peak, 325 Maury Road, Jim Thorpe, at 6 p.m. Monday. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. All are welcome, free admission.

• St. John’s Episcopal Church, 365 Lafayette Ave., holds services at 5 and 8 p.m. with the Holy Eucharist.

• Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton will hold a Christmas Eve service at 10 p.m.

• Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville) will hold a Christmas Eve service at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Tamaqua area

• St. John’s Lutheran Church will hold Christmas Eve services Monday at 4 and 7 p.m. The bell choir will present a special musical program at 3:45 p.m. Both services will include Holy Communion.

• 

American Primitive Methodist Church will celebrate a traditional Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. on Monday.

• St. Peter’s West Penn Church, Mantzville, Christmas Eve services will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Melber, and at 7 and 10:30 p.m. with the Rev. Virginia Heimer. All services will include Holy Communion.

• Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church Christmas Eve services will be celebrated on Monday at 3, 7 and 11 p.m. The two later services will be candlelit.

• Revive Community Fellowship invites the community to a free Christmas Eve celebration at 4 p.m. Dec. 24. The event will be held at the Tamaqua YMCA, 1201 E. Broad St.

West End

• An annual Christmas cantata, “Prepare Him Room,” performed by the joint choirs of Effort UMC and St. Matthew’s UCC, will be presented at St. Matthews at 6 p.m. Saturday and at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Effort church.

• Salem-St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Kresgeville, will have carols and special music as part of its 10:30 a.m. Sunday service. A social hour with light lunch will follow at 11:30 a.m.

• Effort UMC will have 6 p.m. family service, an 8 p.m. service with choir; and a 11 p.m. service with lessons and carols.

• Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Gilbert, will have Mass on Christmas Eve at 4, 7 and 10 p.m. and on Christmas Day at 11 a.m.

• Salem-St. Paul’s Lutheran, Kresgeville, will have services with carols, Communion and candle lighting at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.

• Salem UCC, Gilbert, is having its service at 7 p.m.

• St. Matthew’s UCC, Kunkletown, will have a Christmas Eve Country worship service, at 7 p.m. including Communion and candle lighting, and Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols, Communion and candle lighting, at 10 p.m.

• St. Peter’s UMC, Saylorsburg, will have a Christmas Eve candlelight worship services at 7:30 p.m., The Mystery of Christmas, complete with carols, candlelight and special music.

• Zion Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville will have Christmas Eve services at 3:30, 7:30 and 10 p.m. All three are candle lighting services.
