Lehighton Area Pool Pals to carol at Hi Rise

They’ll spread messages of joy through the harmonious sounds of Christmas carols.

Come one, come all, as the Lehighton Area Pool Pals will once again sing holiday songs at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lehighton Hi Rise.

That means a night spent singing songs and eating snacks and cookies with the residents of the Hi Rise, according to Mark Hoffman, chairman of the Lehighton Area Pool Pals.

Hoffman said Brian Hoffner has committed to participating this year, along with his guitar and outstanding voice.

“His solo rendition of ‘Silent Night’ is both memorable, and unforgettable, and sure to get everyone in the Christmas spirit,” Hoffman said.

The Lehighton Downtown Initiative members will also join Pool Pals in caroling at the Hi Rise, while members of various Girl Scout troops have also committed to participate.

In addition, he said it’s rumored that Santa may make a special appearance.

Hoffman said Pool Pals welcome other groups or individuals to join this year as well.

“The only requirement is to look forward to having a good time,” he said. “Everyone is welcome.”

Hoffman noted that Pool Pals participated in the Lehighton Parks and Recreation Board’s sponsored caroling within the community held Dec. 9.

“There is positive momentum building within our community and downtown area thanks to the work of the Lehighton Downtown Initiative and others,” he said.
