Palmerton made its trip to Philadelphia a successful one as it defeated Palisades in boys basketball action.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Palmerton-Palisades

Palmerton used a 17-point fourth quarter to pull away for a 59-45 Colonial League victory over Palisades in a game played at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

The Blue Bombers’ Justin Hosier netted a game-high 20 points, while Nate Dougherty and Kody Kratzer chipped in with 17 and 12 points respectively.

Noah Marshall led the Pirates with 13 points.

Hailey Miller led the Indians with 10 points. Tinaya Klotz just missed double figures with nine points.

The Panthers’ Ally France scored a game-high 12 points.

Megan Peifer and Lindsay Hoffman both scored 16 points to lead the Wreckers, who led 14-1 after the first quarter and 30-5 by halftime.

The win upped Weatherly’s record to 2-0.

Lehighton-Panther Valley

Lehighton edged Panther Valley, 57-47.

Cam Knappenberger paced the Indians with 26 points, while Robert Christman recorded nine points.

Stephen Hood led the Panthers with 16 points and Brad Hood chipped in with 10 points.

Tamaqua-Marian

Tamaqua recorded a 55-38 victory over Marian.

Parker Coleman (13), Bashkim Hoti (12) and Joe Coleman (11) all scored in double digits for the Raiders.

The Colts’ Matt Rehrig finished with 12 points.

EIGHTH GRADE

Lehighton-Panther Valley

Panther Valley recorded a 33-18 win over Lehighton.

Matt Engler led the Panthers with seven points, while Brad Hood followed with six points.

Ron Schmick finished with an Indians’ high of six points. Austin Greene added five points.

SEVENTH GRADE

Lehighton-Panther Valley

Panther Valley defeated Lehighton, 49-9.

Stephen Hood finished with 19 points for the Panthers, while Chase Weaver added 10 points.
