State police at Lehighton reported on two crashes investigated by troopers earlier this week.

A two-vehicle crash was reported at 8:16 a.m. on Monday along Interchange Road (Route 209), in Lower Towamensing Township. Troopers said Gaige D. Accardi, 20, of Slatington, was operating a 2012 Ford Econoline van northbound in the right lane while Peter D. George, 66, of Slatington, was operating a 2001 Dodge Dakota truck behind Accardi.

Accardi stopped due to another vehicle making a left turn when the front bumper of the Dakota struck the rear bumper of the van.

No one was injured. The Dakota had to be towed. George was cited for the crash.

The second crash occurred on Tuesday at 5:09 p.m. along Burger Hollow Road in Polk Township, Monroe County. Troopers said William J.
