Senior center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Dec. 3-7 is:

Monday: Beef pot roast, boiled potatoes, peas and carrots, ambrosia

Tuesday: Vegetable barley soup, open hot turkey sandwich, mashed potatoes, orange

Wednesday: Beef teriyaki, brown rice, broccoli, pineapple crisp

Thursday: Chicken potpie, parsley potatoes, mixed vegetables, fruit salad

Friday: Baked fish, mac and cheese, stewed tomatoes, green beans, cherry cobbler

The center has also announced upcoming events for Dec. 3-14.

Christmas decorating on Dec. 3 starting at 10 a.m.; Fall Prevention Program presented by Heritage Hill on Dec. 4 at 11 a.m.; Scattergories on Dec. 5 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on Dec. 6 at 11 a.m.; Christmas Trivia on Dec. 7 at 11 a.m.

Nickel-Keeno on Dec. 10 at 11 a.m.; Wellness Bingo presented by Geisinger Health Plan on Dec. 11 at 11 a.m.; Now You Have It Now You Don’t on Dec. 12 at 11 a.m.; Party Prep and Cards on Dec. 13 at 10 a.m.; Christmas Party on Dec. 14 at 10:30 a.m.

Neighborhood Watch

The next meeting of the Nesquehoning Neighborhood Watch will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 in the borough hall.

Meed’s UMC

Meed’s Memorial United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, will hold a vendor fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday in the church.

There will be 18 vendors with an assortment of items, Christmas photos and food available.
