Registration dates

The registration for the Schuylkill Carbon Marine Corps League, Toys for Tot campaign is drawing to a close. The last several days to register are as follows: Nov. 30, Dec. 1, Dec. 7 Dec. 8. Registration is being held at the Salem Bible Fellowship Church, Fredericks Grove Road, Lehighton, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration guidelines must be met. Nativity Display

St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will hold its 11th Nativity display in the fellowship hall of the church on Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 from noon to 4 p.m.

A shuttle bus will be available from the train station to the church for those wishing to visit the display, as well as parking in the church lot.

The display will be set up on Thursday and Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. All articles will be registered and be set up by the owners. No items are to be left in the hall of the church. If you have any questions contact, Betty Ann, 570-325-2175.

Caroling in the Heights

Wednesday is the final rehearsal for those residents living in the heights that will be caroling. Rehearsal will be held at the home of Ted and Lori LaRizzio, 1485 Centre Ave., at 6 p.m. The group will carol on the heights on Dec. 9, and will meet at Sam Miller Field, North Avenue, starting at 3 p.m. If there is someone that lives in this section of town and you wish to have them visit, contact Jodi Hinger, at jodihinger@hotmail.com or test/call Maureen Foster, 570-401-1430.
