$8,000 worth of jewelry stolen in Polk

The theft of jewelry valued at $8,400 is being investigated by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

The victim is a 46-year-old Kunkletown woman.

Police said sometime between 3 p.m. Oct. 10 and 11:30 p.m. Oct. 13, someone stole the jewelry from the woman’s bedroom at her residence in the 8000 block of East Nottingham Drive in Polk Township.

The jewelry is identified as a round, brilliant diamond ring valued at $2,400 and a gold engagement ring with diamonds in the middle and on the side of it, valued at $6,000.
