October 6, 1989 — Mark Knepper runs for two touchdowns and the Panther Valley defense add a score as the Panthers gain a 28-0 shutout win over Shenandoah Valley. Knepper carries 15 times for 104 yards and gets PV on the board with a 26-yard TD run in the opening quarter. He adds a 21-yard tally in the final frame. Craig Goida, who reaches the end zone on a 20-yard gallop, throws for 218 yards in the contest. Goida’s main target is Tom Rosahac, who hauls in five passes for 119 yards. The winners, coached by Tom Bonner, receive four turnovers from the defense, one a 9-yard interception return for a TD by Jimmer Kane.
