The Times News honored its Male and Female Athletes of the Year at a banquet at Penn’s Peak on Wednesday, July 18.
Those honored included Josh Schaffner, Pleasant Valley (tennis), Caleb Clymer, Northwestern (wrestling), Jacob Martinez, Palmerton (cross country), Tyler Wiik, Northwestern (baseball), Danny Berlitz, Marian (swimming), Tyler Fritz, Marian (basketball), Tahmir Spencer, Lehighton (track and field), Cody Scherer, Lehighton (football), Noah Meyers, Northwestern (soccer), Kaitlin Hoffman, Northern Lehigh (softball), Sara Hathaway, Northwestern (soccer), Tina Capparell, Marian (cross country, track and field), Masani Francis, Pleasant Valley (tennis), Jasmine Mooney, Marian (volleyball), Skylynn Faust, Lehighton (basketball), and Maura Phelan, Lehighton (field hockey).
