Three people were injured in a two-car rear-end crash Thursday afternoon in Franklin Township.

Township police officer Frank Buonaiuto said the incident occurred at 12:40 p.m. by Bank Street on Route 209 southbound.

Buonaiuto said a Honda driven by Elliott Schiff, 23, of New York, rear-ended a Subaru operated by Carolyn Andrulevich, 69, of Lehighton.

Both Schiff and Andrulevich, as well as a passenger in Andrulevich’s vehicle, were all injured, he said.

Buonaiuto said the extent of their injuries was unknown as of this morning.

Lehighton Police Department responded to the scene.

Buonaiuto said the matter remains under investigation.
