Driver rescued after car plunges into pond

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Good Samaritans have helped rescue a man who lost control of his car and ended up in a pond in Pennsylvania.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Kemp Littlepage and Bill Bostic were stopped at an intersection in Upper Merion Township Tuesday when a third car drove through the intersection, hit a guard rail and crashed into the water.

Littlepage, Bostic and his 18-year-old son Josh worked to free the man before the car went underwater. Bostic says the scene was "like something from a movie."

The driver was brought to shore, and emergency responders have transported him to a nearby hospital.

The driver's identity has not been released.
