The Panther Valley Library in Lansford will host a special program on the American flag at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Summit Hill resident Scott Reinhart of the Navy Club of Carbon County will present on the history of the American flag from pre-Revolutionary War to the present and on the proper handling and display of the flag.

The event is free for area residents and library patrons.
