A felony warrant has been issued for a Summit Hill man who attempted to flee police and threatening to shoot someone.

Seth Krynock, 22, of West Hazard Street, has been charged with five counts of stop sign violations, four counts of terroristic threats, three counts of recklessly endangering another person, and one count each of fleeing or attempting to elude police officer, careless driving, reckless driving, and driving while suspended or revoked, four counts of recklessly endangering another person, three counts of reckless driving careless driving duties at stop signs, five counts of driving under suspension, and fleeing or attempting to elude police officer.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by the borough police department:

At 9:20 p.m. May 24, an officer heard yelling coming from the area of North Chestnut Street.

As the officer approached the stop sign and Ludlow and Chestnut streets, he saw several people on the sidewalks and a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee in the roadway near 14 N. Chestnut St.

The vehicle, driven by Krynock, spun its tires and sped away.

The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle ran stop signs at North Chestnut and White streets and West Ridge and Market streets, where it turned left onto Market Street and continued traveling south.

Krynock ran through the posted stop sign at Market and West White streets, and then failed to stop at the posted stop sign at West Ludlow and Market streets, and turned right onto West Ludlow Street.

The officer followed Krynock as he continued on West Ludlow Street and failed to stop at the posted stop sign at Ludlow and Walnut streets.

Krynock turned left onto Beech Street, where he fled onto a dirt path leading into a heavily wooded area.

While the officer was attempting to stop the vehicle, the Communications Center was on the radio dispatching police to the area of 14 N. Chestnut St for a man in a gray Jeep threatening and trying to fight people in the area.

An officer met with the victims, who said they were outside and observed Krynock recklessly driving the Jeep around the area at a high rate of speed.

At one point, Krynock almost struck two pedestrians with his vehicle, which was observed by the witnesses who yelled at Krynock to slow down.

Krynock stopped his Jeep and got into an argument with the and threatened to assault and kill them.

They said Krynock came back minutes later and said he “has a 45” and “would put one in their skulls” while making a gun gesture toward them.

Krynock then got into his vehicle and spun the tires at the time the officer had arrived.

The officer later spoke to several people who positively identified the driver of the jeep that almost struck them as Krynock.

Another person said he was almost struck by Krynock’s Jeep in the area of Beech Street.

A subsequent records check indicated that Krynock’s driver’s license status is suspended.

Krynock was located and advised of his Miranda Rights, which he waived, and was interviewed about the incident.

Krynock denied being in the area at the date and time of the incident.
