May 25, 1973 — Tamaqua’s Pete Rosinola tosses a four-hit shutout to lead the Blue Raiders to a 3-0 Schuylkill League victory over Mount Carmel in their season finale. Rosinola finishes the year with a string of 26 straight scoreless innings. He also helps his own cause at the plate, collecting two hits, knocking in a run, and scoring once. The winners, coached by Durbin Wagner, also receive a pair of hits and an RBI from Bill Milot, while Ed Hromyak chips in with an RBI single and Dave Yelito adds a hit and a run scored.
