With only one day left in the 30th annual Carbon County Senior Games, the South Carbon County seniors, made up of Lehighton and Palmerton, are holding onto a small lead with a combined score of 651. Lehighton has 454 while Palmerton has 197.

But the North Carbon County seniors, consisting of Panther Valley, Weatherly and Jim Thorpe, aren’t going down without a fight. They are giving it their all with a score of 601. Individually, Panther Valley has 221; Jim Thorpe, 304; and Weatherly, 76.

Only 50 points separate the teams, so it is still anyone’s game.

So who will take home this year’s Commissioners’ Cup? That answer will be revealed during today’s competition.
