Just three points separate the North from the South in the 30th annual Carbon County Senior Games.

After eight events, the South Carbon County seniors, comprised of Lehighton and Palmerton, have a slim lead with a score of 313.

But North Carbon County seniors, made up of Jim Thorpe, Panther Valley and Weatherly, are still making it a tight race, with a combined score of 310.

Monday’s event was miniature golf at Heisler’s Dairy Bar in Tamaqua due to a washout on Friday that forced the games coordinator to switch things around a bit.

The individual miniature golf results are:

• Men age 60 to 64: Jerry Reed, Lehighton, gold; Dave Getz, Jim Thorpe, silver; Robert Henenlotter, Jim Thorpe, bronze.

• Men age 65 to 69: James Ketchledge, Lehighton, gold; Pete Malaska, Panther Valley, silver; George Mathews, Panther Valley, bronze.

• Men age 70 to 74: Harry Miller, Panther Valley, gold; Ernie Stauffer, Weatherly, silver; Charlie Parsons, Jim Thorpe, bronze.

• Men age 75 to 79: James Kindrew, Palmerton, gold; John Dawyd, Lehighton, silver; Ron Bowman, Lehighton, bronze.

• Men age 80 to 84: Joe Grayo, Palmerton, gold; Willard Doll, Lehighton, silver; Jim Gilhool, Jim Thorpe, bronze.

• Men age 85 and older: Don Lilly, Palmerton, gold; Mario Iezzoni, Panther Valley, silver; Charles Messina, Lehighton, bronze.
