South Carbon County seniors lead after first day

With one day of competition complete, South Carbon County seniors are leading the pack in points during the 2018 Carbon County Senior Games with a combined score of 122.

But who will capture the Commissioners’ Cup? Will it be returning champions South Carbon County, which is made up of Lehighton and Palmerton seniors, or will the title go back to the North, which consists of Panther Valley, Jim Thorpe and Weatherly? Only time will tell.

Senior Games officials report that Lehighton’s score for the day is 77 and Palmerton has a score of 45; while Panther Valley has 27; Jim Thorpe, 41; and Weatherly, 20, bringing the combined team’s score to 88.
