Police has issued an alert for a man suspected of a shooting a 71-year-old man on Peggy Lane in Polk Township.

Just before 4 p.m. police issued an alert for the man who was wearing a black mask, black clothing and driving a black sedan. According to scanner reports, he was heading toward Route 209.

Near the Polk Township school on Route 209 a state police car landed in a ditch. It is not clear if the trooper was pursuing the suspect.
