Community health, information fair

St. Luke’s Palmerton and Gnaden Huetten campuses and the Palmerton Lions Club will co-host a Community Health and Information Fair from 9 a.m. to noon April 28 on the main floor and cafeteria at the St. Luke’s Palmerton Hospital Campus at 135 Lafayette Ave. in Palmerton.

Free health screenings will be offered at no cost, including EKGs and hearing screenings.

Representatives from agencies and organizations from Carbon and surrounding counties will be present with information and education on a variety of topics, including diabetes, nutrition, weight loss, exercise and fitness, insurance, Medicare, local government and much more.

Door prizes will be awarded; you don’t need to be present to win. Bring a nonperishable food item for the food bank, and receive two tickets to double your chances of winning.

Sandwiches and homemade baked goods, juice and coffee/tea will be served, courtesy of the Palmerton Lions Club.

There is no charge to attend the fair or for any of the screenings. Refreshments are free as well.

Please call to register or for an appointment for an EKG, at 610-377-7070.
