St. Luke’s Palmerton and Gnaden Huetten campuses will recognize National Nutrition Month by offering two community health fairs: Thursday at the Palmerton Hospital campus cafeteria at 135 Lafayette Ave. in Palmerton and March 27 in the lobby at the Gnaden Huetten campus, 211 N. 12th St. in Lehighton. Both health fairs will be from 10 a.m. to noon.

National Nutrition Month is a nutrition education and information campaign created annually in March by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. This year’s campaign is “Go Further with Food” and focuses on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.

As nutrition experts, dietitians can help people adopt healthier eating styles, while reducing food loss and waste.

Dietitians Nancy Matyas and Denise Frey will answer your nutrition-related questions and offer product tastings and samples, information, literature and door prizes.

The health fairs are offered at no charge and registration is not required.
