Police investigate burglary, thefts

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a burglary and two thefts.

The break-in occurred at a residence in the 500 block of Lower Middle Creek Road, in Polk Township. Sometime between Jan. 20 and Feb. 9 the home was entered and copper piping removed. The home is owned by Fannie Mae Corporation.

A Ross Township resident reported his vehicle was entered while parked in the area of 104 Crestwood Court, and various items were removed. The victim reported the incident about 3:07 a.m. on Feb. 11, and said he saw a white man wearing dark clothing and red gloves run from his property at the time.

A Jim Thorpe resident reported the state registration plate on her vehicle was stolen while it was parked in front of 314 Bridge St., Weissport, sometime between Dec. 1, 2017, and Jan. 17.
