Tamaqua woman picked up on warrant

A traffic stop in Saint Clair on Monday led to the arrest of a Tamaqua woman who was wanted on an outstanding warrant on charges filed by Tamaqua Police.

Stephanie Parliament, 31, of North Railroad Street, was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by Saint Clair Police for a traffic violation at 4:30 p.m. Officers ran a records check and discovered an outstanding warrant for failure to appear before District Magisterial Judge Stephen Bayer. She was scheduled for a hearing on charges related to access device fraud, field by Tamaqua patrolman Anthony Stanell.

Parliament was transferred to the custody of Tamaqua Police and arraigned before duty District Magistrate David Platchko, who set bail at $25,000 percentage. Unable to post bail, she was placed in the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.
