The PIAA District XI Spirit Championships will take place Saturday at Easton Area Middle School, 1010 Echo Trail, Easton.

Doors open for spectators at 8 a.m. The competition begins at 9 a.m.

Award presentations will be conducted at the conclusion of the event once all squads have performed.

Each division’s champion will be presented the championship trophy.

Each division’s champion and runner-up will be presented medals.

This year PIAA District XI will qualify 11 squads to the state competition. The top three teams from the small division, the top three teams from the medium division, the top team from the large division, and the top three teams from the coed division will all qualify for the PIAA State Championship Competition.

The remaining one state qualifier will be a wild card selection from either the Small or Medium Division and will be determined by the full panel of judges.

The PIAA State Championship Competition will be held Jan. 19 and 20 at the Hershey Giant Arena.

There are no local schools in the small or large division.
