Carbon County court — Parole/probation revocation

The Carbon County court conducted parole/probation revocation hearings recently for three defendants who violated the terms of their release.

Jordan Grammes

, 24, of Albrightsville, had her parole revoked on a charge of driving under the influence on petition of parole officer Joseph Bettine, of the adult probation office, for violating conditions by not residing at her approved residence, and failing to submit to urine screens on two occasions, which violated the zero tolerance condition.

Judge Steven R. Serfass resentenced her to serve out his maximum term in the county prison, which runs to March 6, 2021. However, the court would parole her to a drug and alcohol treatment program, which she must then complete.

Stephen Soldridge

, 49, of Nesquehoning, had his parole revoked on a charge of DUI on petition of probation officer Clifford Eckhart for violating conditions by being charged with, and convicted of, a new criminal offense and failing to complete drug and alcohol treatment.

Serfass resentenced him to serve 30 days in the county prison on consecutive weekends, which began Nov. 3.

Tara Osborn

, 29, of Kresgeville, had her probation revoked on a charge of receiving stolen property on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by not making a concerted effort to pay court costs of $1,765.33 and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.

President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II resentenced her to serve three to six months in the county prison effective Feb. 1, 2018, at 9 a.m. However, if she completes the 50 hours of community service by then and pays $985 on her court costs, while making her regular monthly payments, the order will be vacated.
