Lansford woman has probation revoked; sentenced to jail term

A Lansford woman has her probation revoked recently by a Carbon County judge and was resentenced to a county prison term.

The county adult probation office filed a petition to revoke the probation of Alainna Bunch, 38, on a charge of prohibited offensive weapon.

Probation officer Joseph Bettine filed the petition to revoke probation because Bunch violated the terms of her release by being arrested by state police at Lehighton for driving under the influence and related counts and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.

On Oct. 19 Judge Joseph J. Matika resentenced her to serve five to 12 months in prison with credit for 24 days already served.

Matika also ruled the prior conditions of her release remain in effect and that a pre-parole plan must be investigated by the probation office before she is released on parole.

In another case Bethann Neff, 30, of Shenandoah, had her parole revoked on a charge of theft by unlawful taking on petition of probation officer Clifford Eckhart for violating conditions of her release by failing to report to the probation office as directed, absconded from her approved residence, failed to make payments of her court costs and failed to perform 200 hours of community service.

Judge Steven R. Serfass resentenced her to serve 120 days in prison but received credit for 122 already served and paroled.

She was also placed under the same conditions imposed in her prior case.
