Suspect wounded by police at mall parking garage charged

KING OF PRUSSIA (AP) — A robbery suspect shot and wounded by police in a parking garage at a suburban Philadelphia shopping mall has been charged with robbery, theft and other counts.

Upper Merion Township police say 23-year-old Kalin Jackson of New Castle, Delaware was identified as a suspect after a woman was held up at gunpoint as she was getting into her vehicle Saturday in the parking garage at the King of Prussia Mall.

Police shot and wounded Jackson in the same garage Sunday. Police said he was driving the stolen vehicle seen fleeing the robbery and had “a black and pink handgun” as well as the victim’s credit cards and driver’s license.

Court documents don’t list a defense attorney and a number listed in Jackson’s name was no longer in service Tuesday.
