Lehighton state police investigate mischief incidents

State police at Lehighton reported investigating the following criminal mischief incidents.

• State police are investigating an incident that happened between 8 p.m. Sept. 30 and 7 a.m. Oct. 1 on West Lizard Creek Road. The victim, a 55-year-old Walnutport woman, told police someone damaged her mailbox.

• A 44-year-old resident of Mountain View Drive, in Kunkletown, Monroe County, reported someone vandalized his vehicle while parked at his residence.

• A man from the 200 block of Kestel Drive, in Kunkletown, Polk Township, reported someone spray-painted street signs in the area. The incident occurred sometime between Oct. 7 and 9.

• A man from Gilbert reported someone threw an empty beer bottle through the rear window of his vehicle while parked in the 100 block of Mountain View Drive, in Polk Township. The incident was reported on Oct. 14.

• State police are investigating an incident that was reported at 10:10 p.m. Monday on Correll Road in Eldred Township. The victims are a 20-year-old woman from Saylorsburg and a 25-year-old man from Kunkletown. They told police someone in a gray sedan, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta, stopped in front of the residence and threw two full Busch beer cans, striking their vehicles.

• Michelle Rizzi, 34, of Kresgeville, is facing criminal mischief charges as a result of an incident at 12:25 a.m. Oct. 21 at 760 Carney Road, Polk Township.

Police said it is alleged she went to the residence of the victim, a 49-year-old man, and threw a rock through the back glass sliding door of the home, and then scratched his vehicle with an unknown object.
