Carbon County court — parole/probation revocations

Carbon County judges held parole/probation revocation hearings on petitions filed by the adult probation office against defendants who have violated the terms of their release.

Marley Geusic,

29, of Lansford, had her parole revoked on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and probation revoked on a charge of theft by deception on petitions of probation office Clifford Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed and being arrest for a new criminal offense by Lansford police.

Judge Joseph J. Matika resentenced her to serve 120 days in the county prison on the possession count and 120 days to 12 months on the theft count, with the terms running concurrently. She was given credit for 27 days already served.

Robert Cesanek,

31, of Nesquehoning, had his parole revoked on a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by being charged with a new criminal offense.

Judge Steven R. Serfass resentenced him to served six months in the county prison with credit for 34 days already served.

Jacob Bynon,

36, of Lansford, had his parole revoked on a charge of simple assault on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed and absconding from his approved residence.

Matika resentenced him to serve 59 days in prison with credit for 53 already served.

Chad Eschbach,

36, of Lansford, had his parole revoked on a charge of DUI of a controlled substance on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by testing positive for a controlled substance, which violated the zero tolerance condition.

Matika resentenced him to serve 34 days in the county prison with credit for 27 days already served.

Kim Osborn,

57, of Nesquehoning, had her probation revoked on a charge of persistent disorderly conduct on petition of probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating conditions by not making a concerted effort to pay court costs, failing to get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow recommendations and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.

Serfass resentenced her to serve three to six months in prison effective Jan. 1, 2018. However, if she gets the D&A evaluation and follows recommendations, completes the 50 hours of community service and pays $250 on her costs plus her regular monthly payment by Jan. 1 the order will be vacated.

Patrick Janecki,

25, of Albrightsville, had his parole revoked on a charge of DUI on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by not making a concerted effort to pay court costs, failing to complete highway safety classes and failing to complete drug and alcohol treatment.

President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II resentenced him to serve three months in prison effective Jan. 1, 2018. However, if he completes the driving classes, gets a D&A evaluation and pay his court costs of $2,171.51 in full by Jan. 1 the order will be vacated.

Jamie Stevens,

36, of Lansford, had his probation revoked on a charge of possession of a controlled substance on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed and failing to engage in and complete D&A treatment.

Matika resentenced him to serve 54 days to 12 months in prison with credit for 54 days already served and placed him on parole.

Samantha Goodhile,

21, of Summit Hill, had her parole revoked on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed, absconded for her approved residence, tested positive for a controlled substance, failed to submit to a scheduled drug screen, failed to engage in D&A treatment which violated the zero tolerance condition.

Serfass resentenced her to serve 120 days in the county prison with credit for 68 already served.

Jeremy Lockwitch,

29, of Lansford, had his probation revoked on a charge of theft on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by being arrest on new criminal charges.

Matika resentenced him to serve four to 12 months in prison with credit for 109 days already served.

Mason Mahoney,

22, of Albrightsville had his probation revoked on charges of criminal trespass, retail theft and criminal use of a communication facility on petition of Bettine.

He was resentenced to serve a total of four years probation.

ARD revoked

David Carroll,

47, of Albrightsville, had his placement in the county’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program revoked on a charge of DUI on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by failing to pay court costs by the maximum date, failing to complete safety driving course and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.

Serfass ordered the case placed on the next pretrial list.
