State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an assault incident involving a gun.

Troopers did not release any names but released the following information:At 9:40

p.m.in the 400 block of West Market Street, in Orwigsburg, a man struck a woman, causing her nose to bleed. The man then retrieved a gun and pointed it at the woman and forced her into a bathroom to clean herself up, pulling her hair. The man then slapped the woman several more times.The man walked away and the woman was able to flee the house to a neighbor's for help. Troopers arrived on scene a short time later but the man had left the scene.A warrant has been obtained for the man's arrest. It is believed that he is in possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
