Carbon County personnel moves

Carbon County officials approved a number of salary and personnel moves during their meetings last week.

PersonnelThe commissioners approved the following items:• Change of status: Kelsey Bowman of Lehighton from special deputy sheriff trainee to special deputy sheriff, retroactive to May 22.• Change of status corrections: Mitchell G. Kramer of New Ringgold from special deputy sheriff trainee to special deputy sheriff, retroactive to May 22 and special deputy sheriff to deputy sheriff, retroactive to June 26.Salary BoardThe Carbon County Salary Board approved the following items:• Establish the position of two special deputy sheriffs* at $14.81 per hour, retroactive to May 22.• Establish the position of four special deputy sheriffs* at $14.81 per hour, effective July 6.• Establish the position of four special deputy sheriff trainees* at $14.10 per hour, effective July 6.• Establish the position of two part-time seasonal park maintenance* at $8.25 per hour, effective July 6.• Establish the position of one assistant purchasing manager trainee at $12.79 per hour, effective Aug. 1.• Change the rate of one assistant purchasing manager from $15.28 per hour to $12.79 per hour, effective Sept. 6.* Excluded from the retirement plan, not anticipated to work 1,000 hours.
