State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating an attempted homicide incident that happened on Thursday in North Manheim Township.

Police said the victim is Devin Andresen, 22, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds.Police said a motorist traveling on Berry Road in the township, about a half mile north of East Mountain Road, encountered Andresen lying on the roadway. The motorist discovered Andresen had been shot, contacted state police and emergency medical services personnel.Police said the victim’s wounds were life-threatening. He was transported via Life Flight helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he remains in critical condition.Police said the victim’s has no permanent address.
