The Third Thursdays program presented by the Jim Thorpe Tourism Agency and the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation included a car cruise and show hosted by the Jukebox Cruisers Car Club.
More than 70 classic automobiles of all years and genres were on display in the Carbon County parking lot alongside the historic former Central Railroad of New Jersey train station in downtown Jim Thorpe on Thursday evening.According to Jukebox Cruisers Car Club President Joe Barone, this is the first such Car Cruise and Show associated with the Third Thursday program in Jim Thorpe, and the club hopes to do it again in July and August.Proceeds from the event were part of a fundraiser for the Jim Thorpe American Legion Post 304's Stay at Home festival and fireworks to be held in Jim Thorpe for this coming Fourth of July holiday which will be heldJuly 1 at Memorial Park in Jim Thorpe.
